"You're watching your step but you fall as you're walking.
You take it in stride but still you fall as you're walking.
Big sky above me, a river inside me
And I'm doubled up in love.
Feels good it feels like poetry
Don't ask me to explain it just
Feels good, like poetry,
I'm doubled up again."

It's Different Now
Time is not on my side. It's only *THREE* more weeks before I leave for London. It's been a hectic race to meet people and spend more time with the people who mean a lot to me. So many people, so little time...
Tomorrow's my last day at X:Odus (yes, it's finally the end..), and I really feel so sad that I've got to go. One of my bosses, Pheobe, gave me a little going away present- a purple velvet sketchbook, and that was really thoughtful and sweet, as I never expected to get anything from her at all (it was so well-wrapped as well!).
I've got two new colleagues, Dave and Yen,..but they're nothing like the others..maybe I've not gotten used to them, but I don't really have to, do I? The other new girl Ashley, was fired on the second day, coz she was not making sales, and besides, she wasn't much of a chatter. She's more like....an ice-queen. Dennis fired her just yesterday, and I heard that she cried for a whole 45 minutes. Talk about drama!..Anyway, I was on the phone in the toilet, and when I came out, there was a big hoo-hah going on outside- a big vase was smashed on the floor, as well as a decapitated mannequin, and there were a lot of spectators and security gaurds around. As I made my way back to level 1, I heard a girl shouting on the top of her lungs, and I was soooo worried it may just be my doomed-colleague. Was just worried that she had a mental condition and was looking for me to slit my throat after. I never found out. All I knew was, a girl was shoplifting-which was the sole reason for all the commotion. It's too much of a coincidental timing for comfort.Scary, huh?!!!
Been meeting up with a friend who works in town as well for lunch, and it's amazing how we've become friends from mere aquaintences. We should have talked to each other a lot earlier, but never had the chance. Sometimes, I feel, if I had the chance to start over, I'd know exactly what I'd do.
But all is different now. I'm leaving.

Impromptu
I probably owe this month a helluva lotof blogs...but hey, I've been busy, so I'm trying to write this before I start getting the lazybugs again.
Had a totally bad week, I mean *BAD*(!) week, coz people just never fail to piss me off..somehow or another. Been trying to get myself to start putting away my stuff for packing, but somehow, I've still not gotten down to doing it. A part of me just doesn't want to, I guess.
Everyday's a rollercoaster of emotions, and it's hard to keep my chin up when it feels like the world's gonna collapse anytime. Thank god for those friends who have been putting up with my horrible mood swings this week. You are god-sent, I swear!
Had an impromptu sleepover, and this, happened in a very amusing way. Apparantly Don suggested the idea to Wan, who was supposed to tell me..(and he obviously forgot..always..), so when Don did ask me about it on Saturday, I was kinda shocked to know that I was having a sleepover my place, and I didn't know about it! Gosh...next time, never take the "Wan express". Nothing ever gets delivered on time. Hahaaa..
It was pretty kewl tho, had dinner with the guys and later they bought toothbrushes (the hassle..) for the sleepover, and well, Wan somehow managed to squeeze in a big bag of Lay's (that totally blows the red spandex fantasy!..don't you ever learn?)..and we chilled out, showered, watched Amelie (the french film) on vcd,..and just crashed out on my little daybed. This is a rare feat, coz my bed is really small...and erm...Wan is not? (soorry babes..it was a tight squeeze!) Anyways, *someone occupied half the bed, so Don and me had to squeeze into the other half. We were joking about the different scenarios of farting when we heard Wan snoring, and he just never stopped! Being very light sleepers, we were tossing and turning, and it's annoying how little sleep we got. Tried exchanging places with Don to the other end of the bed, but guess what- I could *still* hear Wan!..aargh.......I guess Don got fed-up and decided to sleep on the sofa outside instead.
We woke up all groggy and eventually picked ourselves up to shower and go for breakfast. Made a short trip to Novena to send Don off to get his eyes checked, and I went to report for work. I'm still sleepy, and it totally sucked to be working night shift on Sunday...ah well,..but I had fun.
Oh god..before I forget..I kinda found out that one of my "beautiful men" is working in town, near my workplace..so...yuummmm!! *wink*

At Long Last...
I *finally* managed to log in after several failed attempts to use my IE. I'm just jinxed, I tell you!!! *sigh*
Anyways, here are the highlights from the previous days.
Friday:
Was working at Taka, but it was worth the wait(!), as Sham and Pauline met up with me later and we had our dinner at Swensens. We've never really been out all together, although I've gone out with Pauline numerous times, but it was fun asking Sham along as well. It's the eve of National Day, so the queue to get into Swensens was quite a killer. Managed to get seats, and we had an absolutely fab time bitching about *the thing* and everthing else. Not forgetting we managed to sneak in a lil' peep at the eye candy around! Haha..Sham even took out his glasses to have a better look!(We were looking at the cute guy with the perky ass..) *grin*
We were so in need to spite the stupid minah, that we wished that she was working night at Heeren and they would come around to declare we were all going out and that she wasn't invited! Hahaha..what have become of us...gosh..we're so meaaann....(and proud of it!)... (:
We ended up so full after our ice-cream that Sham and me decided to take a cab back home..it was getting late anyway. We should do it sometime again, aye, people? I know I had fun!
Saturday:
It's National Day! No, that came out totally wrong-I'm not so patriotic. Hah..my babies were over and had breakfast out with the whole family, and it's nice, since we haven't done that for sometime. I missed my babies so much lately. Later agreed to meet Don in town, since I started work late (thanks to the best bm in the world *wink*)...and we had lunch and walked around for a bit. Discovered this really yummy snack (I still don't know what's it called), which is deep fried, with a variety of flavours. It kinda looks like a courgette. It was quite an unlucky day, coz we bumped into a few people that we didn't really like. It's annoying how it happened, but maybe it's coz the whole country just decided to be out all at the same time, aye? Talk about fate.
Bumped into Colin and gf twice (the only pleasant people we bumped into the whole day), and it's nice to see they're doing alright. Tried to shop, but decided against it. I really have to start saving.
Sunday:
Hey, that's today! Hahaha...I just *have* to put this in- a very very veeerrrryyy long-lost friend just e-mailed me! I didn't even know he had my e-mail address, but wow...I'm shocked....surprised..no, make that pleasantly surprised..nicee... The last time I recalled having any form of contact with him whatsoever was when we were still snail-mailing each other like...eons of years ago!
Gosh. Talk about being dumbstruck.

Failure
Mr Sexy is gone. Finito. He's apparantly not needed at the Heeren anymore, as we don't need to get our temperatures taken anymore. Bye bye pretty boy.
Of course I was devastated hearing of his "departure" but hey, there isn't anything I can do about it. I didn't even get his name..or number...gosh..in the words of my colleague, " nori, you're such a failure." Wow. *Ouch*.
I *did* however, see him just yesterday outside my shop, looking as yummy as a candycane (he was in red and white stripes..how patriotic). He looks different without his hair gelled up, but even Pauline had to admit that he doesn't look all that bad.
I do hope to bump into him properly the next time.

The Burning Has Started
The 7th month has begun. I anticipate business will be bad this month, as, according to Chinese superstition, it's bad to buy shoes during this period. Not that I believe that, of course, but hell...sales isn't going so well anyway. I have adopted a somewhat "I-can't-care-less" attitude- but then again, it could just be due to the fact that I'd be leaving soon. Maybe it's just one of the many phases that I'd go thru before I actually have to face the reality of not being here anymore. It's pretty emontionally taxing.
My brain's pretty void of any thoughts right now, I'm just trying to hold onto as many memories I can, for they are too precious right now.
Save me from this state of panic.......(help?)

Counting The Days
Before I logged in just a moment ago, my head was brimming with thoughts and excitement to fill in the empty space of my current blog. Either my brain has stopped functioning or I'm getting *that* more absentminded that I have completely forgotten what I wanted to put in earlier.
I've only got a month and a half to go before I leave for London, and it seems that the days are flying off the calender faster than I imagine. I've fallen into somewhat a mundane routine of sleep-wake up-work-sleep. I'm missing everybody already, and I'm not even gone.
Work was such a pain today-no, let me correct that, the people at work (in Taka) were such a pain, especially an outstanding two whom I have named "Princess" and "Fishmonger" respectively. Don't even ask. The lame nicknames represent even lamer individuals, thus, it's justified.
My legs are killing me.
I'm just waiting for my pay to come in,..at least I'd be able to live a little.
